What is an Orbitotomy?

During an orbitotomy, surgery is performed on the orbit that contains the eye. Various incisions are used to access the orbit.

Conditions Treated with an Orbitotomy:

An orbitotomy may be performed in cases of orbital fracture, orbital tumors, orbital abscess and a foreign body located in the eye.
